Shaun’s background began to take shape as he took a role working with businesses in the greater Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area as a payroll, accounting, and human resources service provider. He then stepped into a role as a project manager working to help teams accomplish complex and demanding work as effectively as possible. That role led Shaun to sales and consulting before returning to Agile product management. Shaun has since attained his Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), and Lean Management Professional (CLMP) certifications.
Shaun is motivated by creating relationships with his team; helping others accomplish their goals; and finding solutions to complex problems. These motivations extend outside the office as well, as Shaun makes a point to maintain strong connections with friends, family and the community. Hobbies include martial arts, CrossFit, writing, motorcycling, biking, and more. Shaun is an advocate of World Vision and has sponsored a child and her family in Uganda since 2016.
Shaun has demonstrated a knack for recognizing patterns in external events and likes to develop long-term solutions to problems. He believes in honoring commitments by organizing tasks efficiently and seeing them carried through. Shaun’s natural skepticism and independence adapt well to functioning as a servant leader for tightly-knit teams—as long as they share high standards of competence, performance and a great sense of humor.
